Beyonce and her rapper husband Jay Z have reportedly welcomed a set of twins to their family.

A source is believed to have told PEOPLE the power couple were thrilled with their twin joy, joining their five-year-old daughter Blue Ivy.

"Bey and Jay are thrilled and have started sharing the news with their family and closest friends," a source told PEOPLE.

US Weekly reported the singer delivered the twins earlier this week.

Beyoncé announced her pregnancy in February with an Instagram picture showing her pregnant belly in front of a flower wall.

The Beyhive has been buzzing for days amid reports the Lemonade singer had become a mum for the second time.

E! News reports an unidentified woman was seen at a Los Angeles hospital carrying a bouquet of pink, purple and blue flowers with two giant pink and blue balloons that read "Baby Girl" and "Baby Boy".

The woman’s gift also contained a card that read "B &J".

Beyoncé and Jay-Z have not yet announced the sexes of their babies.

The Sun reports some fans claimed they’d noticed increased security around the plush Cendars Sinai hospital in Los Angeles - where Beyonce gave birth to her daughter Blue Ivy in 2012 - with some even alleging to have seen her bodyguards carrying two baby car seats.

Others mused about her due date, with some of the singer’s most ardent followers obsessing that she must be in labour.

Since her baby shower last month, Beyonce has stepped out of the spotlight to enjoy the final stages of her pregnancy.

Her apparent disappearance from social media has only fuelled the speculation and hundreds of her supporters have been tweeting about what could be going on behind the scenes.
