A Biggest Morning Tea event in a remote and pristine corner of the North West has raised $1655 for the Cancer Council.

The event, hosted on May 25, at Ningaloo Station attracted 96 people to the sandy beaches of the well-known station.

On offer were cakes, sandwiches and fruit platters, as well as a much sought-after prize of a week’s camping for two adults.

A Ningaloo Station Biggest Morning Tea spokeswoman said the event was only possible with everyone attending lending a hand. “It is a fun morning with lots of laughter and chatting, a time to catch up with everyone on the beach,” she said.

“There are no dishes to be done as everyone has brought their own cup, and the empty cake trays go back with the respective owners.

“All the team has to do after the event is rake the sand and count the money.”
