There were fears he’d never come our way again after cancelling his tour last year, but Childish Gambino has finally announced a Perth date.
The American rapper, singer and actor, also known as Donald Glover, today announced three massive sideshows, having already agreed to play this year’s edition of Splendour In The Grass.
Gambino will hit RAC Arena on July 14, before moving his solo tour to Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on July 17 and Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on July 24. He will also play at Adelaide’s Spin Off Festival on July 19.
The news comes as a massive relief to fans who missed out last year when the artist behind This Is America pulled out of his Australian tour because of a foot injury.
That cancellation led to rumours he would never tour the country again, with Glover having said he intends to retire the Childish Gambino moniker in the near future.
Tickets for the RAC Arena show go on sale from 12pm on April 18 through Live Nation.
